Woods has had a busy, productive, and successful 2010 thus far. Not content with his chart-topping remixes of Deadmau5 and Chris Lake, as well as running his own label, Diffused Records, Woods’ recent re-release and remix of his 2009 hit ‘Dropzone’ received rave reviews and is fast becoming a modern club anthem.

Video: Uffie ‘A.D.D. SUV’

Miami-born, Paris based rap princess Uffie is back with another club monster, this time featuring the Neptunes’ Pharrell Williams.

‘A.D.D. SUV’ is a banging electro cut that screams of hot summer festival days, and with the UK’s fast-rising star producer Hudson Mohawke on remix duty, alongside established US house music man Arman Van Helden, the track could become one of the big hits of the summer. Watch the sneak video trailer above.

“I was so excited when I was introduced to him in Tokyo a few years back,” explained Uffie of their collaboration. “I knew if there was ever the right track I would have to ask him to be on it, and this was that track and, fortunately, he said yes.”

German house music duo Milk & Sugar are back with another sunshine-soaked vocal anthem destined for summer greatness.

‘Let The Love (Take Over)’ features Ayak on diva duty, with Lady Chann providing contrast via a rough urban rap. With a new video (above) the pair are on course to landing quite a big club hit. It’s on their own record label, as usual.

Swedish House Mafia top the charts with ‘One’

The unstoppable Swedish House Mafia trio of Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Axwell flew straight to No.1 on Beatport this week, with the aptly titled single ‘One’.

Believe it or not, ‘One’ is the first track the supergroup have released together under the Swedish House Mafia name and its success is yet further proof that they are one of the biggest acts in dance music today, on the brink of mainstream recognition.

The Swedish House Mafia recently signed to major label EMI, and ‘One’ was the highlight of their headline performance in front of 50,000 clubbers at Miami’s Ultra Festival during the Winter Music Conference at the end of March (watch the video below to see how it went down).

Video: Le Le ‘Disco Monster’

Dutch trio Le Le have produced some seriously funky disco nuggets in recent years, including 2008′s crossover hit ‘Breakfast’. Their latest release, ‘Disco Monster’, looks likely to become one of the biggest nu disco records of the year, thanks in part to an amazing Azari & III remix – Canada’s Dinamo Azari and Alixander III are our top picks for the nu disco scene this year.

The video for ‘Disco Monster’ (above) showcases the kind of fun and frollicky dance pop Le Le are all about, with gritty black and white faces segued with torchlight images of a disco venue and a dancefloor.

Five minutes with Benny Benassi

Italian electro house star Benny Benassi is one of the world’s most popular DJs, having been a permanent fixture in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs poll since his 2002 worldwide smash hit ‘Satisfaction’.

These days, Benassi is helping to inject dance music into the mainstream via star-studded collaborations – his latest venture sees r&b goddess Kelis and Black Eyed Peas’ Apl.de.ap team up for a dance hip hop hybrid ‘Spaceship’ (Benassi debuted it at Ultra Music Fest in Miami this year).

James Zabiela interview

James Zabiela released his brand new Renaissance mix compilation ‘Life’ today, which the British DJ and producer believes is his strongest mix CD effort to date.

Unlike previous mix CDs, James compiled and mixed the compilation as one single soundtrack, rather than two separate mixes, and although the mix had to be divided onto two CDs, James feels it plays out like one single “epic mix”.

We caught up with the technical DJ whiz to find out more, and we’ve linked up the tracklist track-by-track to make it easy for our DJ readers to listen and buy the tracks James used for his compilation.
