Wagon Repair label boss Konrad Black will bring a touch of Berlin class to North America in February, to highlight his forthcoming mix CD ‘Watergate 03′, due out in March.
Canadian Black moved to Berlin in 2006, and as a regular guest DJ at the city’s Panorama Bar and Watergate clubs, his minimal techno and wobbly tech house sound is more Berlin than anything else.

The annual ceremony will take place at Breakspoll’s spiritual home, Fabric in London, on Thursday, 26th February followed by an ‘aftershow’ party the following night, down at sister club Matter.
Among the many awards up for grabs, Beatport has been nominated in the best retailer category for the third year running.
The nominees for the Beatport Music Awards 2009, the annual awards that aim to recognize electronic music talent, have just been announced and voting is now open at: beatportal.com/awards/beatport-music-awards-2009
To keep the awards fair and relevant to the whole electronic music scene, the nominees were chosen based solely on unit sales on Beatport during 2008 and are broken down into separate genre categories.
The public must now decide which artists and tracks deserve to be recognized by casting their vote.
