Soularis are back with another soulful gem on their own Sun Soaked label. “Back together” is a cover of the classic Donny Hataway & Roberta Flack track and is provided in four beautiful mixes featuring Pete Simpson and Mandy Edge on vocals. The “Original mix” is a classic piece of soulful house with a funky edge, it has solid beats, funky bassline, horns and hot guitars, the “SunSoaked mix” is a more laidback and smoother affair, while the “SunSoaked instrumental” strips back the vocals. On the remix duties DJ Meme and MoD joint forces and provides a more pumpin’ version for the dancefloor.

Ospina & D’Layna was my favourite track from the Ospina Records WMC Sampler and now this great track is
released as single with addictional mixes from Central Avenue, Enrico Mantini and Clemens Rumpf. The
“Original mix”, that we all already know, is a beautiful piece of uplifting soulful house, Central Avenue provides a more funky infected version, adding wicked piano keys and guitar. The “Enrico Mantini remix” is a pumpin’ dub enriched with soft electronic elements while Clements Rumpf delivers a simple and effective groovy re-work.

“Para na wey” by Os Malandros is a fresh latin tinged track for the
summer, out on Papa Records. The “Main mix” is a Brzilian infused track with lots of percussions samba style and infectious ethnic vocals. The Realm provides a stripped down dub with less vocals, solid beats, pumpin’ bass and a warm synth line.

This is another great track coming from US USB Records, “Everybody dance” marks the twenty year anniversary of the collaboration of CeCe Rogers and Marshall Jefferson and it is a classic, powerful funky house track enriched by the awesome and inspired vocal performance of CeCe Rogers. Along with the beautiful “Vocal mix” the package also includes a less vocals but strong “Dub mix”.

(aka Toni Economides and Oli Lazarus) who provides a stunning soulful gem, adding warm Rhodes keys as well as a driven

a groovy latin thing with a warm percussive groove, great rhodes keys, piano, horns and an infectious male vocal line.
